I’ve been living with chronic back pain for years, (due to herniated discs). I’ve had to cut back on activities I love. As an active person, I never felt like other physical therapists really internalized my goals beyond the immediate triage of pain and everyone defaulted to the same program and approach. My pain levels have dramatically decreased. Our combination of physical therapy and personal training has me feeling stronger than ever and I’m doing things pain free that I didn’t think were an option for me anymore.Plus, Dr. Boakye has the ability to read exactly how much energy and force you have in you. He’s astute at reading how hard to push you and when to help you back off.I don’t panic when I drop things on the floor and have to pick them up. I can sleep without pain interfering and I’m getting back to activities I love.

2 years ago I got 3 different injuries within a few months (elbow, groin, and calf). They all became chronic despite seeing 4 different PTs before Bernard. I'm a pretty active person and hadn't dealt with much injury until then, so was extremely surprised and dissapointed when they didn't heal after a month.

After 2 years I've finally become able to do heavy lifts (bench, squat, etc) all thanks to Bernard. Definitely the best PT I've ever been to (5th one now...) and getting the 1 on 1 sessions in his personal gym is amazing. I would've been so happy to have just one of these injuries go away, but after training with Bernard all 3 have been resolved. He's super friendly, helpful, and knows what he's doing. I have been working with Bernard for 3 months now, after suffering a fractured femur. Bernard is nothing less than brilliant - his knowledge of physiology and how how the body heals is boundless. He is patient and very kind, and knows exactly when to push me. He tailors our sessions to my needs and developments, and also tailors my at-home routine weekly. After fracturing or breaking a bone, one loses confidence as well as strength, and Bernard understands the importance of mind-body connection. The work is hard and also very fun and therefore extremely rewarding. I would never have been able to heal this well and this quickly without him. I would recommend him to absolutely everyone!
